Located in the vibrant area of Area 23(Ku Tank), MJ Carpentry and Joinery Workshop has been delighting customers with its exquisite craftsmanship since 2018.
Milson Jali’s journey as an entrepreneur began during his industry attachments, where he realized the potential of his skills in a business setup. Recognizing that he could make more money and have greater control over his work, he decided to venture into entrepreneurship after graduation. With the money he saved from his attachments and additional funds from odd jobs, Jali acquired the necessary startup tools to establish his own workshop. Today, MJ Carpentry and Joinery Workshop boasts a team of two full-time workers who collaborate with Jali on various projects. Additionally, when faced with larger workloads, Jali hires up to four temporary workers to ensure timely project completion. This dynamic workforce allows the workshop to take on diverse projects and cater to a wide range of clients.

These delays not only affect the workshop’s cash flow but also disrupt the payment of Jali’s workers. Often, Jali resorts to using his personal funds to compensate his team while awaiting client payments. Moreover, fluctuating currency values have led to increases in material costs, sometimes resulting in discrepancies between the prices quoted initially and the actual expenses incurred. Despite these obstacles, Jali remains determined to overcome them and achieve his vision for the future.
