Chiefs from Traditional Authority Tsabango have commended Don Bosco Youth Technical Institute together with its partners for the bursary programme introduced in the area that will see 50 vulnerable people acquiring different technical skills in the next 12 months.
Speaking soon after the meeting which was held on 23 March 2019 at Senior Chief Tsabango headquarters, Senior group Satema was grateful for the introduction of the programme.
“the meeting was fruitful, am grateful for the issues discussed today regarding the project, all the people from this area are ready to cooperate with Don Bosco in implementing this project”, he said.
Mr Livant Sikelo from group Tsabango area who also attended the meeting highlighted that in their area they have a lot of vulnerable people who are willing to learn technical skills but luck support.
“The coming in of this project will give chance to the vulnerable group to be financially independent and help in developing the Tsabango area once the training is complete.
Mr. Sikelo further asked Don Bosco to reach out to many with such kind of projects in the area, ”this should not be the first and last project but should be the genesis of equipping the people from this area as we are bulding new Tsabango”, he said.
The first meeting was attended by 38 chiefs under Senior Chief Tsabango in which all doubts raised by the chiefs were answered by a team of experts running the programme which comprised of Mr Kabanga, Mr Chilupsya, Mr Phelatu and Mrs Ndawa.
